I think I may have a rotten tooth? I take good care of my teeth, but the last molar (not wisdom tooth) on my right side has has a chip of enamal off in the corner of my mouth. now.. I was just checking with it again, and it crumbled. the outer edge is still okat except the one corner, but I am afraid the inside may be the worst? Oh, I will be arranging an appointment a.s.a.p., for this just occoured tonight. anything I should worry abot or do in the mean time.. I am not feeling any pain..? (I am 16?)

If the outside of your tooth is crumbling, you have a HUGE cavity. I'm glad you are not feeling any pain, but I am also glad you are going to call your dentist ASAP.
Reply:sounds like calcium deficiency is causing it; however, you must go to the dentist SOON because a rotting tooth cause some awful bad breath

Reply:i cannot say whether you need a root canal or not. If you needed one then that would mean the tooth has "died" and there is problems with the nerves. This sounds like decay (your only 16). You should make an appointment.
