Anybody ever heard of teeth rotting from the inide out?

I'm 18 and I went to the dentist for the first time a couple weeks ago cuz I been havin toothaches. I knew I had a couple rotten teeth in back that broke, but I thought the rest weren't too bad. At least I didn't think they looked too bad. Anyways, the dentist said most of my teeth aren't worth keeping cuz they're all rotten on the inside. I had the back teeth pulled out cuz that was all could afford at the time, now my 2 top front teeth came out. It's all I can do to pay for getting my teeth pulled out, but I think I can manage that. I just won't have money left to get new teeth for quite a while. What will guys think if I'm completely toothles at 18?

Teeth dont really rot from the inside. You get a cavity in the enamel which spreads into the dentine underneath. Dentine is softer than enamel so it kinda looks like a mushroom shape, you have a shell of enamel and decay underneath.

Dont leave the extractions for too long if you can help it. You run the risk of abscesses and infection and will be in a lot of pain with possible facial swelling which can be dangerous.

There are lots of options available in regards to how to restore your smile, talk it over with your dentist. Perhaps you can discuss a payment plan with him and pay some money every month.

Hope this helps!
Reply:Maybe a calcium supplement might help.

Don't pull them until the last minute.

County hospital will pull them for you.
Reply:If I was you I'd just get them all pulled out and go from there. It's not bad at all with no teeth. I had bad teeth all my life so soon as I turned 18 I had all the rest of my teeth pulled out. I didn't get dentures so I just go toothless, but it's ok. Some guys are kinda turned off by it but some guys like it. My bf thinks I look good and so do I, and I don't worry about what other people think. Hope everything works out for you. BTW I'm 21 now.
