what to do regarding the fact that I had a crown in which subsequently rot my front tooth.
I now have in a denture and I hate it.
what can I do that requires minimum attention and embarassment?
Rotten Tooth ?
One option, it's costly but highly efffective... dental implants. A replacement tooth is permanently implanted into the jaw, looks, feels, and seems totally like a real tooth. Only took a couple of hours in the dental chair, and about 2 weeks to fully aclimate to it, and is the best thing I've ever done.
Reply:get an implant. It's just like a regular tooth. Expensive, and most insurance won't pay for it, if they do they only pay 1/2.
Reply:Well that is going to reqire a root canal. That is caused by a rotten tooth and decay. Root canal treatment is needed when the tooth's root becomes infected or inflamed through injury or advanced decay. They basically drill a hole down into the pulp chamber. They dig out all the rootten tissue and clean the tooth out and then you have a nice clean tooth again. They also have to stick 2 needles in your mouth just to make sure it is numb. Your thinking OMG. THIS IS SCARY... no not at all it's not painful one bit and to tell the truth i just had one this morning. So don't worry about anything. When they inject the needles all your going to feel is a little bee sting in your mouth. To most ppl including myself it's the least painful treatment you can get out there. So don't be afraid. and if you don't do that then your going to get a huge infection which cause disease in your gums. So ask your dentist about it see what he or she sais. But i can promise you that over 15 americans get it so you have nothing to worry about. Sorry for telling you all this but it's the truth. And after the procedure you need to eat soft things and put warm towels over your filling to help it. Best of luck and no worries! :DDD
