I have a really rotten wisdom tooth?

and i went to the dentsit for an emergency appointment and he gave me anitbiotics and made an appointment for an extraction for later today.. i thought the infection needed to clearup before they extracted it?? will i get blood posioned if i let him take it out

The tooth is causing the infection. He will remove the tooth, then clean the area. The antibiotics will help fight the infection as well. If he says it's gotta go immediately, I'd trust him, he knows what he's doing. Keeping it in and waiting longer will cause more problems.





Rotten teeth can cause brain damage - it's in your head - Take care of it before it gets worse!





Also, don't let it get to this point again. Take care of your teeth, or get them all removed and buy some dentures.
Reply:no, i think that the longer it stays in there the worse it will be. I just got all 4 of my wisdom teeth out yesterday. hurt like hell afterwards!!! but it will be worth it once i'm healed, there is no point for wisdom teeth. they are just there to make us miserable and the point is to see who actually has wisdom enough to take them out! So i reccomend you get all 4 of yours out or you'll just have more problems down the road
Reply:Antibiotics work very quickly. Ever have strep throat? You usually feel better the next day after starting antibiotics.


Your dentist i giving you the medication before the dental procedure in order toget a jump start on clearing up the infection. Removing the tooth should make the infection disappear even faster.
