you can make matters worse by trying to do anything at home. Don't you teach him to brush his teeth or do it for him?

either take him to the emergency room and deal with the bill later, call around to dentists to see if they have payment plans or see if there is a dental school in the area that sees patients at a reduced cost.
Reply:Is this a baby tooth that will be replaced by a permanent tooth as he grows? If so, it will loosen by itself and you can pull it out when it is loose enough, or let him do it himself. If this is a permanent tooth, do not do it yourself. You will have to save up the money or look for a cheap clinic.
Reply:If you live near any collages call and see if they have a dental clinic usually they will do it for Free or a small cost.If not call social services, sometimes they have emergency coverage through Medicaid for such purposes. If you are really low income maybe you qualify for keeping the coverage at no cost to you...Let your fingers do the walking...start making calls. Where I live we have a community help orginization that will direct you to the right place for help. See if there is any near you.As a last resort if you cant get any social service type help, call the local dentist and explain your situation and ask if he is willing to do it and allow you to make very small payments until it is payed off. EVEN IF YOU HAVE TO SEND $2 A WEEK TILL IT IS PAYED OFF THAT IS BETTER THAN TRYING TO PULL IT YOURSELF
Reply:please please for the sake of your son dont extract the tooth yourself. that would be so painful for him. if you dont have the money and your boy is in pain with it go see his doctor. tell him about not having the cash for dentist and maybe he could refer you to a hospital dentist. thats what happen when my partner had bad tooth.
Reply:Contact the local dental society in your area. If you don't know where it is, contact the American Dental Association. They should be able to direct you to dentists that provide free or sliding scale services, especially for a child. Type in the Yahoo search engine the name of your state and the words "dental society" to try to get the name or click on the ada link.
Reply:please take these suggestions, you could cause infection by doing this at home and extreme pain for your son.
Reply:Are you crazy please dont do that to him. Call social services.
