I have been told I have a broken root and a massive infection. My feet have been swelling up and my nose has been having wierd sores breaking out on it and I have developed severe arthritis latelely. Will taking the bad tooth out cure this. It will cost 2 thou to take out and put in a bridge so hence the cost value analysis
Rotten tooth- can it cause systemic problems?
I HAVE MITRAL VALVE PROLAPSE WHICH IS A THING WHERE THE MITRAL VALVE IN MY HEART DOESN'T CLOSE PROPERLY. BECAUSE OF THAT I HAVE TO TAKE ANTIBIOTICS BEFORE HAVING CERTAIN BLOOD WORK OR DENTAL WORK DONE. IF I DON'T BACTERIA CAN GET INTO THAT VALVE AND CAUSE INFECTION AND KILL ME OR AT LEAST MAKE ME WISH I WERE DEAD!! ANY KIND OF TOOTH INFECTION CAN CAUSE STUFF LIKE THIS SO GET IT FIXED ALREADY SO YOU DON'T WAKE UP DEAD!
Reply:Dude money is never an option when it comes to your health. How could you deal with that pain right now anyways?
Reply:yes, it's still and infection and can travel througout the body causing a systemic infection. Go to the dentist right away!!
Not to mention the smell that must be causing in your mouth...EEEWWWW...I sure hope you aren't romantically involved with anyone at the moment. You could spread the infection to that person by kissing them.
Dude, that's just not healthy.
Reply:Trust me, this happened to me.
I was in the same situation as you, and I thought the bridge was too expensive, so I let it pass.
Now, a couple years later, all of my back teeth ache like crazy, and it's gonna cost me more than 6 grand to get it fixed.
It's better to get it fixed now, than to pay more later on
Reply:It is the tooth that is causing the infection which in turn is causing all the other problems. To remove the tooth doesnt cost 2k, the bridge does.
Reply:Well, if you *don't* take care of it, you run the risk of septic (blood) infection, which will kill you in a most terrible way.
Arthritis is unlikely to be related.
The foot sores may or may not be related. Both infections could be seperate but have a common underlying source, such as diabetes or immune system problems.
See regular primary care physician about foot and arthritis. Get tooth removed. Avoid ugly death.
Reply:Get the tooth out now. The big expense is the bridge. If you have to, find a free dental clinic or a sliding scale clinic and get the tooth extracted. Then you can worry about the bridge. Don't let the expense of the bridge prevent you from getting rid of that tooth.
Reply:i can't do the cost analysis. How can i weigh 2000 dollars compared to loosing additional teeth, a limb, part of your brain or your life, and being sick for years?
you already have a massive infection that should be treated. People can still lose limbs or even their lives from untreated infections. Also, believe it or not, an abscessed tooth can spread infections to the brain. If you delay treatment long enough you can die from that. it is rare, but it still happens.
Reply:find a dental college. many will do it for free or at little cost. this should be done as oral surgery. if you have medicare or medicaid it should be covered.
Reply:Wow..Are you adraid of the dentist? I have that too but I have dyactually done something about getting rid of the problem. The teeth are connected to several important parts of the body sinus cavitys and of course your blod stream itself..Get rid of the tooh guy have the surgery...and yes it can travel to weird places in the body.
