Why do people with straight teeth think theyre better then people with crocked teeth?

constantly i hear people say they think people with crocked teeth (not rotten or decayed) are disgusting, they wouldn't kiss them or in no way find them attractive, why are people like this, aren't we all just human and isn't it our personality that matters, are looks so important in life?

Reply:coz when they talk they are confident. the first duty of listening is reading the lips, and then seeing the teeth is part of it, and they think they are better bcoz when they smile they actually look good!, but literally they looked queer, anyhow! i got crooked teeth and i find it cute and barbaric! this is the kind of a teeth a real man should have!
Reply:People always judge the way a person looks. It happens.It effects all areas: picking a mate,hiring for a job and yes who we are attracted to. It is easy to say that you would like to think a person is judged by their other merits as well but a first impression is a persons looks.


This is why millions of dollars are spent every year to fix anything that isn't up to our standards of perfection.

Reply:People with straight teeth are more confident that those with crooked teeth. They can smile and talk with people and wont feel awkward or be afraid that people might laughed at them because of their teeth. But mind you, the brain is aint in the teeth, it's placed higher. So, if you have dont crooked teeth dont despair, because its not a sign that your not better. Besided, the word better to them may be different to you. So smile and just be yourself, you wont hurt anyone smiling even if you have crooked teeth.:)
Reply:Because when people smile you don't want to see a mouth full of crooked teeth and everyone in the magazines have straight teeth so now its like an obligation to have straight teeth
